Ananthagiri Hills:
Ananthagiri is one of the few serene spots to visit in the state. It is 90kms away from Hyderabad in west Telangana in Vikarabad. Ananthagiri is a hot spot for tourists, nature lovers, and a lot of adventure activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, trekking, etc.

Medak Fort

Constructed during the rule of the Kakatiyain rulers in the 12th century, this fort is spread over 100 acres.

Bhongir Fort:
Located 100km from Hyderabad, Bhongir Fort is situated on a 182 m high hill at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District, Telangana. It was constructed in the 10th century by Tribhuvanamalla Vikramaditya VI, a Chalukya ruler.
It is an hour-long trek to the top of the hill, so make sure you carry enough food and water to stay hydrated. Canals are encircling the fort, underground chamber, trap doors, armory, barns, reservoirs, etc. making it an ideal getaway for history and adventure lovers.
Khilla Ghanpur
Khilla Ghanpur in Mahabubnagar district is in the south-west of Telangana. It is almost 2 hours and 111 kilometers away from Hyderabad. In the 13th century, Gona Ganapa Reddy and Recherla Padma Nayakulu built Ghanpu fort 500 m high by connecting two mountains.
There are numerous temples in the fort including Narasimha Temple, and Veerabhadra Temple with many caves on the hilltop. Jurala Dam, Pangal Fort, and Wanaparhy are some of the places to visit in the same district. The view of the countryside from the top makes it worth the climb!
Koilsagar Dam

The fort is about 130 km away from Hyderabad and 10 km from the Koilsagar Dam. One has to climb a deep abyss, a series of streams of River Peddavagu and a plight of stairs to reach the top of the fort.
