Romancing with Monsoons in Wayanad, Kerala

I romanced with nature in Wayanad in the monsoons and lived in Asia's highest tree house located at 88ft above the ground. I’m a very romantic person, and yes that’s a secret to all. I romance with myself, red wine, cinnamon lemon tea, cheese cakes, music, dance, badminton and nature. Aren’t these the things one should really be in love with? I’m in the best of my moods when I’m out into the wild, closest to nature, closest to purity, closest to God.
I had an intimate affair with the monsoons during my visit to “God’s own country”. The original plan was to hike to the heart-shaped lake and Chembra peak. But nature had different plans for me.
An impulsive plan took hold of me one day and the next the day I landed at Kozhikode airport at mid night. I had no plans for the night or for the travel to Wayanad. I decided not to travel alone in the dark and I planned to wait for the daylight at the airport itself. I met one lady at the airport who was waiting for her husband who was travelling to Kozhikode from Dubai. They both had plans to go to Wayanad too. She was one of the very few women I loved talking to and it turned out to be very interesting night with great conversations. When her husband arrived, she introduced me to him and realized we didn’t know eachother’s names till then. They were a very caring couple and offered me a lift with them.
A High-Altitude Trekker & PADI certified SCUBA Diver, I love exploring the heights and depths of the planet with my regular doses of mountains and oceans.
Discovering myself & life through nature, adventures, travels, sports and dance has been an addiction since my existence! Quite fond of the natural & cultural diversity of India, I've travelled extensively in my own country before exploring international destinations. I had left my 9+ yrs of career in Software Industry in a quest to make a living out of my passions. I packed my basics in my car (gave away the rest) and lived in different parts of Himachal Pradesh for 16 months. This invaluable time taught me to experience life from a broader perspective. I'm currently living in Mumbai to work with an Adventure Travel company as a product manager for Scuba Diving. I continue living a minimalistic life.
