Katasar Ghat is around 45 KM from Deogarh on the highway from Deogarh to Angul. It is under Kankarkhol reserved forest area. This Ghat is surrounded by dense forest. There is a temple of Goddess “Banadurga” and the temple of Lord Shiva located at the top of the ghat. A natural stream flows inside the temple premises which makes this temple more attractive. Katasar Ghat area is very peaceful and attracts visitors for its spiritual atmosphere.

Gohira Dam is located at a distance of 28 km from Deogarh Town in Reamal Block. Gohira Dam is the best place for picnics. This dam was constructed in 1981.

Famous Temple in Deogarh

Shri Jagannath Temple – This temple is located at Purunagarh, the old capital of Bamra State. This temple is one of the oldest temples in Deogarh town. The most important festival of the Jagannath temple is the car festival, during the month of Ashadha (June-July).

Jhareswar Temple – The temple is situated at a distance of 3 km to the left of N.H – 200 under the Chikini Ghati. The deity Lord Shiva is worshipped in the temple.
